I just thought I’d direct your attention to an interesting article from the BBC entitled “Why Did Men Stop Wearing High Heels?”
For the uninitiated, it seems that men used to have long hair, wear flowing, frilly clothes, and yes, high heels. At times, this was done for functional reasons; other times, it was to signify wealth and class.
Equally interesting is that high heels were out of fashion for a time for both genders.
It was not only designers but changing gender and class roles and social mores that influenced who wore the pants… or stilettos… in the family.

I don’t know what’s in the water these days, but it seems that men have been unusually attentive to me lately.
I say this not to brag or anything, but rather to preface my second chance to do right where I stumbled last time (see Oops, I Did It Again – A Dating Post-Mortem).
This time, it was a much more attractive man with somewhat less skill in the socializing department than the previous candidate.
After some time hanging out together, he invited me up for the proverbial cup of coffee. I had a pretty good idea what was on his mind, but I went anyway, knowing that I was well prepared this time after my last affair and could handle whatever came my way without any chance of violating my rules.
Sure enough, the minute he got me alone he transformed into a lustful, panting man on the prowl, groping and such.

Well, after the brouhaha that preceded ABC’s Work It, we finally got to see what all the fuss was about.
Of course the CD community is not going to appreciate some of the innuendo and outright specific comments indicating that crossdressing is nothing but a last resort for desperate people and not something any normal person would ever actually want to do.
I suspect the trans community will object to the trifling with their issues and with the whole concept of changing genders.
But, my opinion is that neither CDs nor TSs are really the true victims here.
In my view the real victims are men.

Gabriela is a friend of mine, whom I have gotten to know through exchanging comments here and on flickr. She is smart and sexy and, of course, has experiences and perspectives to offer that are somewhat different from my own. I enjoyed reading about her experience on Halloween, and she has kindly agreed to share it with my readers.
For my first night out alone (without my usual female bodyguard) last Halloween I figured it would be a good idea to dress modest, at least by Halloween standards. No high heels, no deep cleavage, not much exposed skin, no drag-queen-like makeup, no XXL-sized boobies. Everything low-key.
I went to a public Halloween event and was surprised how much vinyl, leather and latex walks around and seems to be acceptable nowadays.
Very good, my chances to enjoy myself, dance all night and not run into someone who knows my alter ego or is annoying in general were good.
I’m not used to attend such huge public events, even less all alone.

This year, Boxing Day Night was a Sunday, and Monday being a holiday, the turnout was sure to be good, so I made a point of getting out there.
I found myself sitting at the bar talking to a woman when another young lady approached me.
“Hi, I’m with two friends who would like to meet you,” she said, leaning over and pointing to two guys about 10 feet away. “Are you interested?”

I was on a video-call with a friend of mine the other day – this friend does not know about my little secret… so obviously I was being a guy. Thing was, I was shirtless and sitting there in front of the camera…
It was really strange, but I felt uncomfortable showing off my bare chest…
I kept fidgeting either to cover my breasts or position myself so that they were off the screen.
It’s starting to look like the wall between the two sides of me is developing leaks, and there’s no way to tell whether or how long it will take before the trickle turns into a flood and the wall comes tumbling down. Those of you who have been reading my posts will understand that I have always been about keeping my boy side separate from my girl side. I love being able to be whichever I please whenever I please, but I’ve prided myself on keeping the two sides as separate and different as possible….
