2011Kiss and Tell
I’m not one to kiss and tell, right?
Yesterday, I posted an account of an evening I spent with a guy, and I included a couple of pics, including one of us kissing.
I knew something was bothering me about the post before I put it up, but now I think I know what it was… I think I subconsciously realized that I was worried that my post was tantamount to showing off my date to everyone… kissing and telling, as it were.

Now, I realize that blogging is about sharing life’s adventures with readers, but somehow this felt a bit obnoxious or tacky to me… almost forcing my readers into voyeurism… perhaps a plea for attention on my part?
In the past, when I have recounted a tryst I may have had, it was because there were significant emotional issues that I was addressing, not a simple account of an experience for its own sake.
Am I right to feel awkward about this, or was it a proper and interesting post?

Come on! It’s was beautiful!

Nothing wrong with sharing experiences that you enjoyed. It sounds like a great evening and it made you happy so why not share it.

I thought the post was fine. The real question is how did your freind feel about it. If he is ok with the post then you may be overthinking things.

Oh, I cleared it with him first. That’s a given. Overthinking things… I do do that, don’t I?

There’s nothing wrong with your post silly. It was nice of you to share your experience.

Nothing wrong with sharing experiences. The thing I love here is the picture. You just look so naturally feminine and happy…just a girl on a beach with a guy…. awesome!
janie
It was nice.
